My name is Meghan. I’m the Student Counselor for IELI, which means I get to hang out with students and help them adjust to life in the United States. I plan fun activities to introduce students to American culture and all the great wonders of Denton and the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I also coordinate IELI’s Conversation Partner Program and the IELI Student Activities Council. I want to help students get as much out of their time in IELI as possible. I started this blog because I think there are a lot of exciting things going on in IELI that people might not know about. Here’s where you can get the inside scoop on what life is like for IELI students.
I love comments, so feel free to leave me questions or comments and I’ll do my best to answer them.

Hi Meghan,
We are so lucky to have you at IELI. You have such great ideas, and you love helping the students. I thank God for you!
Dear Meghan,
My name is Talal, and I’m from Kuwait. I’m very interested in your university, and I would love to have your contact information to get more information about your respected school and living in Denton. Would it be possible to provide me with your e-mail address?
Hi Talal, You can contact IELI at IELI@unt.edu. You can find out more about IELI and Denton at our website: http://www.international.unt.edu/ieli. The staff e-mail addresses are listed on the website, so you can contact me through there. Thanks!
I’m from Brasil and I wanna know
are Funding fees avaliable at North Texas?
or international scholarships?
God bless you!
Thank so much!
You can read about the financial aid opportunities for international students here: http://international.unt.edu/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=509&Itemid=533. There are many things you can apply for as a UNT student, but unfortunately, IELI does not offer any scholarships to study English.
